Michael's Works in Progress

"La Ranchera" (A short Western comic for an anthology. My part should be done unless I need to make revisions.)

Cownt Tales (A one-shot comic anthology. Fully written by me; illustrated by Gavin Spence, Jessica Hickman, and Paul Taylor. Currently being illustrated. This first one-shot will be self-published, but we hope to find a publisher for future issues.)

Kill All Monsters (A graphic novel. Written by myself and illustrated by Jason Copland. Currently being pitched to publishers.)

Jesse James vs. Machine Gun Kelly (A one-shot comic. Co-written by me and Alex Ness; illustrated by Greg Jolly. Greg's still working on the art.)

Hunt the Winterlands (A prose anthology of "dark fantasy" stories in a shared world. I'm co-editing with Alex Ness and also writing one of the stories. We're still in the coordinating phase.)

Tula and the Pirate Witch (A comic series - possibly a webcomic - I'm writing and developing with Jessica Hickman. It's outlined; I just need to write the script.)

The Sea Monster (My novel. Working on the first draft.)

It’s awesome to see someone “getting” these stories ten years after I did them, especially "The Church Bus," which, as correctly discerned by Michael, isn’t so much about religion as conformity.

Thanks for the insightful review, Michael. I hope some people give the book a spin due to this.

You’re always seeing to the heart of the books we put out, and that’s such a fantastic thing.
